Who am I?

My name is Reagan Gorzynski. I've lived in the Pacific North West my whole life and enjoy all sorts of activities such as hiking, camping, and playing soccer. I usually spend my free time drawing, writing or listening to audible books. I love animals and hope to be able to rescue tons of animals in my retirement. Right now I just have a cat named Mischief but she's amazing. I also love music and attending music festivals, my favorite being Paradiso out of the ones I've attended so far.

I'm studying Visual Communications at LBCC and hope to become a UX Designer. I want to be able to work while traveling the world creating better user experiences along the way and hopefully creating things that change the world for the better. Until then I'll continue to practice my art and continue to learn about design which is why I enrolled in this course. It's not possible to be successful in this world without knowing how to market yourself. Especially when you want to be a freelance artist. I was really excited to take this course because I want to learn why some products and people are successful and others that are just as good arent.

While I'm not a Business/Marketing Major, this is still a very important class for me. As a designer, the success of my work goes hand in hand with how consumers react to it. Having a knowledge of marketing will help me create better logos and better webpages because I will know what will grab people's attention. I'm most excited to learn how to create a marketing plan for a client and how to best market myself to prospective clients.

Outside of school, I'm most excited about (hopefully) adopting a dog as well possibly fostering others. I also want to travel to Bali and/or Thailand as soon as all the Quarantining is over. I'm also really missing the gym because I was really falling in love with fitness and looking forward to running my first 5k. I'm also working on my digital illustration skills and as a result of a project from a class last semester I'm also super interested in practicing animation more as well.

Australian Activewear brand makes 150k in seven minutes during lockdown

The Quarantine due to Covid-19 has had wide-reaching consequences. Unfortunately for a lot of businesses, the lockdown has meant closing their doors and losing sales. Most customers have turned to the web to get their essential items and more.  One of the biggest losses though has been the closing of gyms all over America. Due to this, there has been a rise in at-home gym programs and the need for gym equipment such as dumbbells, yoga mats, medicine balls, and more.  As the need for both comfortable clothing to wear around the house as well as activewear has risen, a lot of online activewear retailers have been thriving during this time as a result.   According to an article by News.com.au Stax Activewear is one of those retailers. Based in Australia this activewear brand saw all their stores close and their physical sales wiped out overnight. They adapted for the lockdown and launched a new line of their activewear called their Seamless Collection onli...

If you are a woman below the age of 30 chances are you've probably heard about the brand Dolls kill. They have branded themselves "The Online Boutique for the Misfits & Miss Legits" They don't sell your typical type of clothing, instead they sell giant platform boots like  these , crazy festival outfits, unique accessories, and more. Their value proposition is all about being yourself, going against the grain. They want to showcase brands that feel the same way, whether you want to be pink and cutesy or wear all black with spikes and studs you will find something that suits your unique taste at Dolls kill.   As an online retailer with only a couple stores (one in San Fransisco and one in Los Angeles), most of their promoting is done online through social media, especially Instagram. When I went to their page to see what people have been saying and looked through the comments on their latest posts. The top three things I see people comment are "Thi...
